Dogwood Tree of New Life

The dogwood tree has been requested more than any other Tree of Life cross over the past 7 years.
I love the glow the blossoms have on these! It’s quite a process to carve them all out, paint them and then highlight most of them with gloss lacquer. The gloss lacquer gives the appearance that they have dew settling on them.
The misty gray morning background is made by accelerating the aging of the Maple wood through a finishing process even before the carving of the trunk begins.
The blossoms covering the ground represent God’s Love and how it fills us so much that it overflows all around us!
