When I was little, I loved to draw trees. Other than Barns or Semi-Trucks it was all I was really good at drawing. I had no idea what God had planned for that love of drawing trees until July 2015 when I held one of these up, took a picture, and posted it on Facebook. That day I became a full-time cross maker and I finally understood this verse that I was praying about.

Proverbs 13:12 Hope deferred makes the heart sick, but a dream fulfilled is a tree of life.

This Tree of Life cross has changed so much in that short time simply because I always add more detail. Every leaf matters! This one is made from Solid Cypress. The tree is drawn up to the limbs and then carved. Then I carve the leaves. The tree and leaf color are a warm oak stain brushed in. The entire process of just finishing the cross takes up to three days. When it is finished, the Tree Of Life cross is one of the most pleasing crosses to hold and look at. It has a satin finish and feel with the tree having a semi-gloss finish to give it more depth.

I have been told that this is not the Tree of Life of Pagan origin. That is correct :). The Tree of Life is mentioned in the Bible 12 times and the only physical description of it is found in

Revelation 22
Then the angel showed me a river with the water of life, clear as crystal, flowing from the throne of God and of the Lamb. It flowed down the center of the main street. On each side of the river grew a tree of life, bearing twelve crops of fruit, with a fresh crop each month. The leaves were used for medicine to heal the nations. No longer will there be a curse upon anything.
